What is the Short Films, Big Ideas: A Community Film Series?

SRCHC and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) have come together as program partners to offer an innovative means for people to stay active while living with long term health condition. Through Short Films, Big Ideas, we are using the medium of film to address social isolation and bring together diverse members of community.

Trained peer facilitators lead a group of 30 individuals through a series of short documentaries. Participants co-create their experience of the film and learn about perspective taking during debrief. These workshops are offered on a quarterly basis at no cost. Each workshop is 1.5 hours in length.
