Choose Health Program Updates
The health of clients and staff are our priority. Due to the Coronavirus at this time, all in-person group programs and trainings are cancelled until further notice. We are offering virtual web and teleconference based programs for community members and healthcare providers.
Programs for Community Members:
- We are offering peer-led virtual programs for self-management support. These programs can be joined by the web and teleconference. The following programs are being offered virtually:
- Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (web-based platform)
- Chronic Pain Self-Management Program (web-based platform)
- Health Coaching (TorCH) (phone-based only)
- Toolkit Program – Chronic Disease Self-Management (phone-based only)
- Toolkit Program – Chronic Pain Self-Management (phone-based only)
- Powerful Tools for Caregivers (web-based platform)
- Peer-led mindfulness focused Virtual Art Gallery of Ontario tour (web-based platform)
- Peer-led Virtual Film Talks: Short Films, Big Ideas (web-based platform)
- Our staff will be offering phone check-ins to provide support for clients who are socially isolated
Professional Development for Healthcare Providers:
- We continue to offer webinar-based professional development training sessions on a monthly basis on a range of topics that support communication and Motivational Interviewing skills
SRCHC Health Centre Updates:
- 955 Queen St E. is open for essential urgent care (by appointment) only and the distribution of food and harm reduction supplies
- 955 Queen St. E (including Keep6) is open Monday-Friday 10 am-6 pm but 955 Queen St. will be closed on Saturdays, effective Saturday, March 21
