What is Living Life to The Full program?
Living Life to the Full is a fun and interactive course that will help you understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours, and what to do about them. The course is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based therapy approach that has been evaluated and has been found to work well. The approach is fun and interactive, and you learn with others who are going through similar experiences in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
How is this program delivered?
Offered in different locations in Toronto and virtually via zoom. Participants who have access to an electronic device (computer or tablet) and internet connection will be able to join via Zoom Meeting. Participants will require access to an electronic device (a computer, or tablet) with a web camera and microphone and internet connection to join the virtual training.
What happens in the program?
The same 8-12 participants meet virtually or in-person on a weekly basis for 1.5 hours at the same day and time. In an interactive environment that is facilitated by two trained individuals, participants discuss topics such as:
- Understanding Your feelings
- Doing things that make you feel better
- Building inner confidence
- How to fix almost everything
- The things you do that help
- 123 Breathe
- Things you can do to make you happier right away
Registered participants will receive welcome package along with handbooks for each session
Who can attend?
The course is suitable for Individuals over the age of 18 who need support dealing with everyday life challenges and learn self-management skills using CBT principles. Course content and materials are practical and easily applied to everyday life situations.

Who developed the program?
Developed by Dr. Chris Williams – an expert and trainer in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emeritus Professor in Psychosocial Psychiatry in the UK, Living Life to the Full has been adapted for Canadian audiences by CMHA BC and has been a national flagship program in Canada since 2013.
