What is Health Literacy?

Health Literacy introduces participants to concepts that support and emphasize the importance of communicating clearly so that patients and caregivers can truly participate in care.

This introductory webinar is suitable to a wide range of healthcare professionals, including peer helpers.

What happens in the training?

We offer a 1.5 hour webinar for healthcare providers.

Who leads the training?

Health Literacy training will be led by trained facilitators who were screened and certified at a comprehensive training offered by the Centre for Collaboration, Communication, Motivation, and Innovation (CCMI). These individuals are practicing healthcare providers working in institutions across Toronto. They are part of an active community of practice that meets regularly and have been instrumental in the roll out of this program by SRCHC.
